The Difference
Building code sets a legal minimum. It does not set a health standard, a performance standard, or a durability standard.
AJ builds differently. As a licensed general contractor with building science credentials, he approaches every project with a question most builders never ask: what does this home need to actually perform well over the life of the structure?
The answer changes how you design the envelope, specify the HVAC system, and sequence construction. It produces a home that is meaningfully healthier, more efficient, and more durable than what the market typically delivers.
What This Includes
AJ engages from the beginning, coordinating on envelope strategy, mechanical design, moisture management, and ventilation before specifications are finalized.
Every project includes a full Manual J/S/D mechanical design, sized correctly for the actual building and Gulf South climate.
AJ manages construction with building science principles embedded at every phase, from foundation and framing through insulation, air sealing, mechanical rough-in, and exterior envelope completion.
At completion, every project receives blower door testing, duct leakage testing, and a full performance documentation package.
Available Lots
ACC Building Performance currently has two lots available in Abita Springs. AJ has existing plans and mockups for both properties and can serve as your general contractor from design through completion.
If you have been looking for land and a builder who understands healthy home construction from the inside out, this may be exactly the opportunity you have been waiting for.
Performance Matters
The real challenge is building a healthy, durable, and controlled home that performs as it should for generations.
A home should do more than look good on the day the keys are handed over. It should manage moisture, control airflow, protect indoor air quality, support comfort, reduce hidden risks, and promote the health and wellness of the people living inside it.
Beauty matters, but performance is what protects the home, the investment, and the family.
Next Step
The homes that end up on AJ's assessment schedule are often beautiful, well-finished, and quietly failing the families inside them because building science was never part of how they were built.
